MAGNOLIA – MAGNOLIA provides Mississippi residents with access to electronic databases through their local public, school, community college, or university libraries. MAGNOLIA is funded by the Mississippi Legislature and partially funded by the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) administered by the Mississippi Library Commission.
Houston Carnegie Library - The mission of the Dixie Regional Library System is to provide library resources and services to meet the evolving informational, recreational, and cultural needs of the citizens of Pontotoc, Calhoun, and Chickasaw Counties, thus enhancing individual and community life.
ALA (American Library Association) – The American Library Association (ALA) is the oldest and largest library association in the world, providing association information, news, events, and advocacy resources for members, librarians, and library users. Founded on October 6, 1876 during the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, the mission of ALA is to provide leadership for the development, promotion, and improvement of library and information services and the profession of librarianship in order to enhance learning and ensure access to information for all.
Teen Read Week – Teen Read Week™ is a national adolescent literacy initiative created by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA). It began in 1998 and is held annually during the third week of October. Its purpose is to encourage teens to be regular readers and library users.
ACT Practice Test – Review these sample questions to help familiarize yourself with the ACT® test. For each question, click on your answer to see if you are correct. Five sets of questions are available for English and mathematics; four sets are available for reading; and seven are available for science. To prepare for the writing test portion of the ACT with writing, see a sample writing prompt and responses.
