The PTO at HMS is raffling off two snack baskets worth $60 each. Students may purchase a chance from their teacher for $1 any day this week. The drawing will be Friday, Oct. 4th.
We are gearing up for exams at HMS September 30-October 4. Please make sure all students are present and on time.

Good morning parents! We're having a great start to our school year! Over the last two weeks, these Toppers received Positive Office Referrals! We are proud that these Toppers live our motto of being Prepared, Positive, Productive, and Polite.
This morning we will be conducting Lockdown Drills with Law Enforcement officers at all CCSD schools. These drills are done to practice and to improve safety procedures. Again, today is only a drill.

Good afternoon, parents! Our Toppers are having a busy week starting tomorrow. We are scheduled to have our PBIS Kickball Tournament on Wednesday. Thursday will be HMS Awards Day at the HHS Auditorium. Our HMS Exams will start on Friday and will end next Tuesday.
Good evening, parents! I hope everyone enjoyed Mother's Day with their families. Tomorrow, our 7th-grade Toppers will turn in their Chromebooks to the media center. Please remember to bring your Chromebook, case, and charger. If you have a 6th-grade student who did not turn in their charger, please do so tomorrow. There will be a fee for any students who did not.

Our Toppers should receive their exemption notice on Monday. This will inform the students which exams they may be exempted from. HMS Exams will begin next Friday, May 17th, and will end on Tuesday, May 21st.
Our students should have received their Award's Day notifications today.
This was a really "sweet" way to end Teacher Appreciation Week. We would like to thank the HMS PTO, our parents, and our community partners for supporting our teachers over this past week. Our teachers were treated to breakfast items from many of our local restaurants, pizza, sandwiches, chicken salad, and so many amazing baked goods! Thank you so much for recognizing our teachers and making this week special.
Good afternoon, parents! We have completed our MAAP State Assessments at HMS! Thank you for preparing our Toppers to do their best daily this week. If your child has missed a day of testing, we will do make-up testing tomorrow. Our teachers will also begin preparing our students for their final exams, which will begin on Friday, May 17th, 2024.
Special thanks to our HMS PTO! HMS PTO provided chips and bottled water for our students each day after their assessments!
