Mrs. Burt’s art students at HUES created colorful hot air balloons as part of a fun, hands-on project. They learned about how hot and cold air molecules move and change from Mrs. Alford. After designing and assembling their balloons, each group tested their creation to see how high it could fly. The students were excited to watch their hard work take off and loved seeing whose balloon soared the highest. This project was especially meaningful because Mrs. Burt did this same activity years ago when she was a student in Mrs. Alford’s 6th grade science class.

HUES wants to put the "Teacher Spotlight" on Mrs. Christi Stroud. She is bright ray of sunshine! She is such a hard worker, comes to work everyday, and works above and beyond for her students. The staff and students love her. We are very thankful for all that Mrs. Stroud does for us and that she is at HUES. Keep shining bright, Mrs. Stroud!
